Rooted Daily ("we," "our," or "us") is a Bible reading app developed by PacMac Mobile LLC. We operate the Rooted Daily mobile app and companion web reader at rootedapp.space.

Account Information
- Email address (used to create and identify your account)
- Display name (optional)
- Authentication tokens (managed by Supabase)
App Usage Data
- Highlighted verses and notes you save
- Journal entries and reflections you write
- Reading progress and bookmarks
AI Scripture Guide
- Questions you ask the AI are sent to our proxy and forwarded to Groq to generate responses
- Conversation history exists only in your device's memory during the session — not stored on our servers
- Your AI questions are not linked to your identity or stored long-term
🔒 How We Use Your Information
- To sync your highlights, notes, and journal entries across devices
- To provide AI responses about scripture
- To maintain your reading progress and preferences
- To send optional devotional notifications (only if you enable them)
- To improve the app and fix bugs
🌿 We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for marketing purposes.

🛡️ Data Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- API keys and secrets are stored server-side — never exposed in the app
- Authentication is handled by Supabase using industry-standard JWT tokens
- We do not store plaintext passwords
👤 Your Rights
- Access — Request a copy of your personal data we hold
- Delete — Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export — Request an export of your journal entries and highlights
- Opt out — Disable push notifications at any time in app Settings
To exercise any of these rights, email rootedapp@rootedapp.space — we'll respond within 72 hours.
👦 Children's Privacy
Rooted Daily is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately so we can delete it.
🔔 Notifications
If you enable push notifications, we may send daily devotional reminders and verse highlights. You can disable these at any time in your device's notification settings or within the Rooted Daily app under Settings.
📝 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Effective" date above. For significant changes, we'll notify you through the app. Continued use of Rooted Daily after changes means you accept the updated policy.
